Who are we?

patero—derived from the ancient Greek words pateo and patere, meaning "to lay open"—is a provider of translation and paralegal services in intellectual property, with a particular focus on patents, offering services in German, English, and Turkish.

We began providing patent translation services to patent attorneys in 1997, driven by a strong affinity for the ideas of inventors and the mechanisms used to protect them. Over time, our services have naturally expanded to include proofreading, editing, drafting of patent and utility model applications, and prior art searches.

Since then, we have completed more than 9,000 projects for individual patent agents and attorneys, patent and law firms, research and development (R&D) centers, as well as individual inventors and applicants.

We are based in Ankara, the capital of the Republic of Turkey, and work with a network of professionals with backgrounds in natural sciences, engineering, and medicine. This allows us not only to translate, but also to understand the subject matter we work with.
